Though the previous owners just put it there to cover up a woodpecker hole in the siding, I highly recommend putting a birdhouse outside your bedroom window. I can hear the babies chirping, and the excited chirps when the parents return to feed them. Soon, the parents will perch in the mountain ash and coax them to come out.

Dad called me as I was leaving to tell me to stop and smell the locust trees in bloom in the driveway. This photo can’t explain how good they smell, or how pretty the happy bird songs sound. But as you can see, it’s not a bad driveway. #olygirl

Since I’m probably not having kids, I need a name for the newest addition to my family: a 1973 Pioneer turntable. Any suggestions?

First garden harvest dinner! Thanks Annalise for watering while I was gone. And sunshine for all the delicious photosynthesis. Yer the bests!
